Dr. Karan Sehgal is an accomplished Surgical Oncologist, specializing in GI HPB (gastrointestinal, hepatopancreatobiliary) surgery and breast oncology. He holds an MBBS, an MS in General Surgery, and two Postdoctoral Fellowships (PDF) in Surgical Oncology and GI HPB surgery from the prestigious Tata Medical Centre in Kolkata. With over 500 cases handled to date, Dr. Sehgal's expertise spans complex cancer surgeries with a special focus on cancers of the liver, pancreas, biliary tract, and breast.
Dr. Sehgal is known for his patient-centric, holistic approach to treatment, ensuring that each patient receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs. His dedication to patient safety and effective outcomes drives his commitment to delivering high-quality cancer care. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Sehgal is deeply engaged in academics and research, contributing significantly to the advancement of cancer treatment through his work.
Dr. Sehgal’s accolades are a testament to his skill and dedication. He secured the 5th rank in the RGUHS MS degree examination in 2018, and his expertise has been recognized through multiple awards. These include the 1st prize for a video presentation at the Frontiers in Oncology conference held at HCG Manavata Cancer Centre in Nashik and another 1st prize for a video presentation on Robotic Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS) at the Frontiers in Onco Surgery Symposium in 2019.
A life member of the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO) with membership number SO269, Dr. Sehgal is also recognized internationally. In 2023, he served as an international faculty member for the SAARC Federation of Oncologists in Nepal.
